When I was little, I loved going to Pic 'N Save, Wooworth/Woolco, McCrory's and Eckard's. Sadly, none of these stores exist anymore. They always seemed to have the best lights and decorations. The bubble lights were always on the display trees and there were always blowmolds lining the whole store. I am smiling thinking of those images. The decorations of today are just so put together and the stores all make it seem so contrived. And while it all looks really pretty ,there is just something about that old fashioned charm of tinsel garland and 5 way tulip bulb flashers by Setico. To me...I wish the stores still looked like this at the holidays. And even though it doesn't look grand or high-end. This image represents the commercial side of the holiday to me. The image is called Christmas 1973. It came from the web, I do not have any info about location or who took it...all I know is...it looks alot like Christmas to me.
Here is a link to the image...Obviously, I have HTML code issues....I will have to get one of the moderators on that. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n161/clevelandbucky/Christmas1973.jpg Justin
